Congressman Artur Davis opposes Administration’s decision to shelve European missile defense system

"The uncertain strategic environment America faces makes this the wrong time to retreat from our plans to build a missile defense shield in Eastern Europe. Iran's leadership is emboldened and seems bent on building a nuclear capacity and it is a mistake to make a dramatic shift in strategic policy when the Iranian threat is growing and its scope is uncertain. The recent anniversary of September 11th also reminds us that the shape of the threats to our country can change with little warning and that vigilance and preparation must be constant."
